Quotation and Order Fulfillment Process
Below we present the most common collaboration path with Solcraft – from the first contact, through design, to the production and delivery of materials. This is a kind of guide intended to help you understand how we work and what to expect at each stage.
At the same time, every project and every Client is unique to us. The process described here is not a rigid formula – we allow for deviations and modifications if required by specific conditions, needs, or investment assumptions.
We don’t impose ready-made solutions – we create a system tailored to your design
At Solcraft, we do not have our own architectural department or a catalog of ready-made designs – and we see this as our advantage. This allows every building to be different, and we don’t limit our Clients to a few standard variants.
We base our work on designs provided by Investors (even in other technologies!) – these can include:
- ready-made catalog designs,
- custom designs prepared by external architects,
- sketches, concepts, or drawings created by the Client themselves.
Based on this material, we adapt the project to our technology, perform structural calculations, and prepare a complete structural design of the building in the Solcraft system.
We don’t create architectural designs from scratch – but we make it possible to implement almost any concept in our prefabricated technology. This means the Client doesn’t have to adapt to our offer – we adapt to their vision.
Thanks to this, the Solcraft technology is suitable for modern single-family houses as well as service buildings, halls, recreational facilities, or commercial investments.
Your idea – our technology.
You decide what the building should look like – we help you bring it to life quickly, efficiently, and with high energy performance.
Stage 1: Initial quote
Based on the submitted data and design assumptions, we prepare a preliminary offer. It is informational and indicative in nature – it does not constitute a commercial offer within the meaning of the Civil Code.
The first quote includes only the materials marked in the schematics attached to the offer. The offer is usually divided into:
- main – covering structural elements essential for the construction of the building (load-bearing walls, ceiling, roof, etc.),
- additional – concerning, for example, partition walls, which may or may not be made in the Solcraft system.
Which walls are load-bearing and whether the proposed structural solution is appropriate is verified during later structural calculations.
Stage 2: 3D modeling and optimization
After preliminary acceptance of the pricing level (which may still change), we create an individual 3D model of the building using Dietrich 3D/CAM software.
The goal of this stage is to optimize the layout of the panels and structure in order to:
- minimize material usage,
- simplify assembly,
- achieve the most favorable final price.
The cost of creating the 3D model and updating the offer is 1% of the preliminary quote value. This stage results in:
- reference documentation,
- updated offer.
Stage 3: Down payment and structural design
After the model is approved, the Client pays a down payment of up to 10% of the order value. Based on this, the structural design is prepared, which includes:
- structural calculations,
- selection of timber cross-sections in accordance with local conditions (e.g., snow and wind zones),
- inclusion of individual solutions and project specifics.
In some cases, especially with larger spans, structural calculations may require steel elements – these can also be ordered from Solcraft.
After the structural design is completed, the value of the Solcraft panels usually remains unchanged. Sometimes timber cross-sections or other technical solutions may need to be modified.
Stage 4: Final price
Based on the completed structural design, we present the final price. At this stage, the Client can still decide on the scope of the order – e.g., whether to include partition walls, mounting materials, timber, energy-efficient windows, etc.
How to read the price offer?
It’s important to remember that our pricing refers to prefabricated materials, ready for assembly. Compared to other technologies:
- Solcraft walls are thinner, which means more usable space inside the building,
- the shell is already thermally insulated – no need for additional insulation,
- in the case of Thermont® or Thexpan® roof panels, the roof already includes a finished metal covering,
- labor costs and construction time are significantly lower thanks to modularity and precise prefabrication,
- buildings in our technology are highly energy-efficient, resulting in significantly lower long-term operating costs.
Stage 5: Production
After accepting the final price and confirming the order, the Client pays the next installment – up to 60% of the order value, which enables us to begin production.
Solcraft panels are manufactured to size for a specific project – they are numbered and ready for assembly with no cutting required.
An exception are roof panels, which require on-site cutting depending on details (e.g., eaves, ridge, gables).
Structural timber can also be ordered from Solcraft. We supply it in 5, 8, 10 or 13-meter lengths – it requires cutting according to a provided cut list. Cutting to size can also be ordered for an additional fee.
Stage 6: Delivery and transport
Once production is complete, the Client pays the final installment – 40% of the order value. Only after this payment is received can delivery of the materials be arranged.
The following are delivered:
- prefabricated Solcraft panels,
- structural timber and other ordered materials.
With the delivery, we also provide:
- the structural design,
- assembly documentation.
Transport can be organized by the Client or commissioned to Solcraft. We offer transportation at market rates, adjusted to the size of the order and project location.
Additional notes
Although Solcraft does not directly handle foundation construction or panel assembly:
- upon the Client’s request, we can estimate the cost of foundation work, panel installation, and other stages of construction – based on our experience and data from completed projects,
- at any stage, you can request a quote for additional elements, such as: windows and doors (also available from us), transport, finishing and supplementary materials.
Our goal is to make the entire process as simple as possible – we provide technical support, advice, and a flexible approach.
By investing in the Solcraft system, you save not only on construction costs but also, and more importantly, on the long-term operating costs of an energy-efficient home.
